Alkaolin®, our aluminosilicate, mixed layer, kaolinite mineral is mined & processed in the UK by MINORE™.
Alkaolin® reflects its unique combination of versatility, high-performance chemistry and rich mineralogy. The name captures the essence of an advanced mixed-layer aluminosilicate clay engineered to deliver consistent, reliable results across construction and material applications. We commissioned work to showcase this new mineral across a variety of industrial applications. This saw us collaborate with a leading independent technology innovation centres such as CPI to demonstrate and validate the versatility and performance of our clay mineral. The centre itself was chosen for its expertise in translating research and ideas into marketable products across diverse UK and global sectors.
This partnership allowed us to use our expertise in mineral processing to develop prototype formulations and test them for various properties across multiple industrial applications. The impressive results highlighted Alkaolin® ability to enhance performance within industrial applications such as low carbon construction products, adhesives, resins, recycled plastics, cosmetics & as a mycotoxin adsorption mineral for the antibiotic free animal feed sector.
