Alkaolin® is an alumino silica kaolinite mineral mined & processed using sustainable manufacturing techniques in the UK by MINORE™. We commissioned work to showcase this new mineral across a variety of industrial applications. This saw us collaborate with a leading independent technology innovation centre to demonstrate and validate the versatility and performance of Alkaolin®. The centre itself was chosen for its expertise in translating research and ideas into marketable products across diverse UK and global sectors.

This partnership allowed us to use our expertise in mineral processing to develop prototype formulations and test them for various properties across multiple industrial applications. The impressive results highlighted the fact that Alkaolin® has the ability to enhance performance within industrial applications such as adhesives, resins, recycled plastics, cosmetics.

MINORE™ therefore presents to market a versatile mineral tested, but not exclusive to, a wide variety of industrial applications including rheology and viscosity control agents for adhesives, sealants, resins, paints and varnishes. In addition, it can be used in the creation of fillers and extenders for thermoplastics, rubber, polypropylene and mixed recycled plastic composites. It is also of benefit as a cosmetic ingredient, antibiotic free animal feed mycotoxin binder and low carbon, green cement supplement, as well as in agrochemicals and suspension fertilisers.
